MENSTRUAL DISCHARGE (HAYZ)
menstrual discharge (Hayz) is a kind of blood which is days. when menses is discharged the woman is call hai’s. 440. menses is usually thick and warm and its colour is either black or red. It is discharged with a gush and a little irritation. 441. according to commonly known verdicts
non-sayyid women who are over 50 become menopause (ya’isa). However if
sayyida and non-sayyida women who are between 50 and 60 years of age
find signs of menses must observe as an obligatory precaution all those
acts which a ha’is should do. 442. if blood discharge from the womb of a girl who is not yet 9 years, or of a woman who has become menopause it is not menses. 443. it is possible that menses may be
discharged from the womb of a woman who is pregnant or one who suckles a
child and the orders which apply to non-pregnant woman also apply to a
pregnant one. The only difference is that if blood is discharge having
the signs of menses from the womb of a pregnant woman after 20 days of
the commencement of her habitual period it is necessary for her, on the
basis of precaution to abandon the acts which are abandoned by a ha’iz
and to perform the obligations of a mustahaza. 444. if a girl does not know whether she has
completed nine years of her age or not and blood is discharged from the
body it cannot be treated to be menses whether or not it has signs of
menses. 445. if blood is discharged from the womb of a woman who is doubtful as to whether or not, she has become menopause
